GROUPS & ACTIVITIES
BIBLE STUDY
Every Monday there is a chance to discuss the gospel reading for the coming Sunday. The meeting time alternates each week between 2-3.30pm and 8-9.30pm at the Vicarage.

We use the ancient monastic practice of 'lectio divina', allowing time for silence and reflection and giving any one who wises to comment and question the text.
No previous knowledge or experience is necessary!

EVENING PRAYER
Evening Prayer (from Common Worship Daily Prayer) is said in the Lady Chapel at 5.30pm Monday to Friday. It is led by a small team of people, but anyone is welcome to attend, or drop in for half an hour of prayers, psalms and readings.
Evening Prayer forms part of the Daily Office, the ongoing round of prayer offered by the church worldwide and joining our prayers & praises with the whole company of heaven. If you would like to make requests for prayer, you can do so on the prayer board at the entrance to the Lady Chapel. Your request will be included in the intercessions at Evening Prayer that day and for a week following.

You can find the text of Evening Prayer each day, and listen to an audio recording on the Church of England's website.

MEN'S GROUP
The Men's Group meet on the second Wednesday evening of each month and brings together a variety of ages and backgrounds for a meal, drinks and robust conversation!

The pattern each month is pre-drinks in a local pub before a meal at 7.30pm in the pub or nearby restaurant, followed by post-drinks for those who wish to partake! It's a good opportunity for people to get to know each other, and share ideas, thoughts, opinions and faith.

WALSINGHAM GROUP
The parish Walsingham Group meets on the second Saturday of each month, beginning with the 10am Mass in the Lady Chapel and then over at the Vicarage for coffee & chat. There is sometimes an informal speaker or bible study/discussion.

Devotion to the mother of Jesus has been an important part of Christian tradition from earliest times. From the 11th century the village of Walsingham in Norfolk has been recognised as a holy place, becoming a centre of pilgrimage for Christians of many different traditions: Anglican, Roman Catholic, Methodist and Orthodox.

St Saviour's has a long established day pilgrimage to the shrine at Walsingham, usually arranged for a Saturday in August, and there are opportunities for residential retreat every other year.
